How does the competition work?
The OpenEyes Filmfestival is a film festival with audience competition. This means that the audience awards prizes to the best films.
Each film is assigned to one of the four categories fiction film, documentary film, animated film and experimental film or music video and runs in the corresponding competition. Some films will also be shown in this year’s Transition competition.
How to vote?
When purchasing a ticket at the box office, each visitor receives a ballot on which the corresponding films of the event are listed. This ballot can either be filled out by hand and handed in at the end or filled out online via the QR code. Analog ballots are only valid if the sticker (ticket) is affixed.
