MA NOUVELLE VIE EUROPÉENNE über die Zeit danach, wurde bei den internationalen Kurzfilmtagen Oberhausen mit dem Preis für den besten Beitrag des Deutschen Wettbewerbs ausgezeichnet.

When Abou arrived in Europe from Mali, it was as if a new life had opened up for him. But while his film about his flight to Europe is shown all over the world, Abou lives isolated in a refugee home. An essayistic documentary and declaration of his existence.

Das Studium der Malerei von Alexander Gratzer sieht man dem Film an, die Provenienz in gewisser Weise auch. Also denken wir, er passt auch gut nach Marburg.

Eva, Sarah and the filmmaker herself talk about their relationship with the murderer and rapist Richard Ramirez in intimate interviews. Love letters are quoted and what is said is underlined and distorted by clay animation. The focus remains on the otherwise invisible women and their fascination with the Ramirez.

Er arbeitet meist in generativen und echtzeitbasierten audiovisuellen Bereichen, die in Leinwandprojektionen, Installationen oder in Live-Performances enden.

Als Kuleschow-Effekt ist jener Mechanismus bekannt, durch die Montage von Bildern etwas sichtbar zu machen, das nicht gesehen werden kann. Der Fund verdächtiger Fotografien bringt hier zwei Bewohner:innen einer Wohnung in eine nicht länger gemütliche Situation – vielleicht.

The Kuleshov effect is a mechanism by which something that cannot be seen is seen through the montage of images. Here, the discovery of suspicious photographs puts two residents of a flat in a situation that is no longer cosy – perhaps.

Am Samstag werden Mal alle Filme mit Audiodeskription verfügbar sein werden. Dago Schelin ist Filmemacher und promovierter Medienwissenschaftler und lehrt im Fach Dramaturgie an der Technischen Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe.

How do you use a camera correctly and which settings are supposed to be used to achieve a certain result? How does composing an image work and how can a story be made a film? On Saturday evening, when all films at the OpenEyes Filmfest will be available with audio description for the first time. Dago Schelin is a filmmaker and media scientist with a doctorate and teaches dramaturgy at the Ostwestalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences.

The film has so far been shown mainly in the Spanish-speaking world, i.e. in South America as well as Spain, and has received a total of eleven awards and special mentions there. Cristina R. Orosa has worked in various television formats. She is enthusiastic about being a loudspeaker of unjust situations. CUANDO NO ESTÉ LOLA is her first short documentary. The film is also the first documentary short film directed by Beatriz Romero.

A robbery with a violin case and everything that goes with it (today). Time jumps and worlds that interlock, overlap and twist each other. There are filmmakers in the feature film sector who regularly fill more than 90 minutes with these ingredients. Pablo Martínez Ballarín demonstrates the essence of such dramaturgies in a minimalist way.
