Internship at the 29th OpenEyes Film Festival

For the preparation of the 29th OpenEyes Film Festival (July 25-28, 2024), we are now offering internship positions.

Our internships can be completed with one or more specific focuses in the areas of film copy management & film archive, online communication/social media, guest communication, press & festival editing. During the internship, we offer the opportunity to get acquainted with the entire festival process and overall organization.

Internship focuses:

film copy management & film archive

– Application deadline: April 1, 2024 –

Assistance with film selection for the festival program
Maintaining the film database
Management of film copies
Archiving of the film inventory

online communication/social media

– Application Deadline: April 15, 2024 –

Collaboration on the online editorial team of the festival website
Managing social media channels
Content production for various platforms
Assistance with recording and publishing of events

guest communication

– Application deadline: April 1, 2024 –

Capturing and processing specialist visitor registrations
Specialist visitor service (creation of goodie bags, sending invitations, etc.)
Booking accommodations for festival guests
Communication with specialist visitors

presse & festivalredaktion

– Application deadline: April 15, 2024 –

Contributing to press releases
Communicating with press representatives
Researching, requesting, and managing image and text materials of festival films
Assisting in publications (catalog/film program)

What we expect from our applicants:

Independent and responsible work
High level of commitment and resilience
Interest in film, festivals, and cultural work
Teamwork skills
Willingness to work outside regular office hours during internship periods in the festival phase
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
Proficient in using Office programs and internet research
Knowledge of Adobe CC and WordPress is advantageous

The duration of the internship depends on your requirements. However, the internship period (excluding film copy management & film archive) should, if possible, include the next festival edition from July 25th to 28th, 2024.

All internships are available immediately and can be assigned before the application deadline. Currently, we primarily offer mandatory internships as part of a degree program.
