This year, the OpenEyes Filmfest has moved its festival office to the Rivvers coworking space in Marburg – and is bringing the films with it! Together with Rivvers, we are launching the new event series Rooftop Reels – Community Cinema: an after-work format for everyone who is in the mood for relaxed networking, creative impulses and cinematic inspiration.
In a relaxed atmosphere, we will be showing a carefully curated selection of inspiring short and feature-length films on the Rivver’s community area and roof terrace – open to coworkers, film lovers and anyone who likes to network with others and discover new perspectives. We invite you to exchange ideas and open up the space for new encounters between film culture, urban society and the world of work.
In May we saw the launch of our ROOFTOP REELS event series!
At the start of this informal after-work networking series, the focus was on getting to know each other and a relaxed exchange of ideas. Due to the very windy weather, we unfortunately had to do without the eponymous roof terrace – but it was also cozy inside the event hall. We took the opportunity to introduce ourselves and our work in the festival context to the other coworkers and interested guests and are already looking forward to the next round – hopefully open air then.
We invite you to a second edition of the Rooftop Reels. This time in the open air – on the roof terrace of the Rivvers. On the occasion of the 30th edition of the OpenEyes Filmfest in Marburg, viewers will be presented with a hand-picked selection from the first OpenEyes festival in 1994 – short films from three decades of festival history!
Free drinks and a barbecue await you on the Rivver roof terrace from 7 p.m., as well as plenty of opportunity to network and exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. At 9:45 p.m. it’s time for the movies! We’ll show you the Best-Of OpenEyes. Admission is free of charge.
